For our last event of 2023, we were in the Towner's cinema for a very enjoyable evening watching BM members' collaborative film projects with music from Clive Whitburn.
Clive Whitburn’s music has been performed in theatres, venues, and festivals throughout the UK, in America, and on BBC and Australian radio. He’s been a longstanding member and supporter of BMN. His music was the common thread of the work being shown, sometimes the music was the stimulus for the visual, and sometimes it supported the drawn element. Clive, Cliff Crawford, Stephanie Grainger, and Ray Burnside are all BMN members, working in different disciplines who have worked collaboratively on several projects: this event was all about those collaborations and how they evolved.
It was wonderful to experience these works fully realised on the big screen with the high-quality audio of the Towner's cinema, and also to hear about the incredible range of processes and collaborations that happened throughout.
